About me

I grew up in Colorado
in a family of entrepreneurs.
I understand firsthand
the trials, tribulations and joys
of small business ownership
and the boom-bust environment
of Colorado!

The practice of law is
a journey in learning.

I earned a BA in environmental studies
from Prescott College in 1974, an MS
from Washington University School of
Engineering in 1976, and a JD from
the University of Colorado School of
Law in 1982. While in law school,
I was an editor on the University of
Colorado Law Review and president
of the Environmental Law Society. My
continuing legal education has ranged
from updates on the Federal and
Colorado laws covering bankruptcy,
common interest communities, con–
struction defects, and foreclosures,
to strategies for business
succession plans.
